4. Hands-on Learning: The Royal Public Approach
Benjamin Franklin's timeless wisdom, "Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I may remember, Involve me and I learn," perfectly encapsulates the essence of experiential learning. This philosophy is at the heart of Royal Public Matric Higher Secondary School, where educators go beyond traditional teaching methods.
At Royal Public, teachers actively engage students in hands-on activities, empowering them to discover and understand concepts through their own direct experiences. This approach fosters a deeper, more profound mastery of subjects, aligning with Albert Einstein's belief that "The only source of knowledge is experience." By encouraging students to reflect on their actions and learn from them, Royal Public ensures that knowledge is not just acquired, but truly internalized and deeply rooted.
5. Our Enrichment Circle and Royal Public Clans
Enrichment Circles
Discover Your Passion: Royal Public's Enrichment Circles
At Royal Public Matric Higher Secondary School, we believe that "teaching children about the natural world should be seen as one of the most important events in their lives." This philosophy drives our commitment to educating students beyond the confines of textbooks. Our core motto is all-round development, encompassing mental, physical, psychological, spiritual, and vocational growth.
We know that simply relying on traditional classroom teaching won't achieve this holistic development. That's where our club activities shine! These clubs are crucial for helping students build a strong sense of unity and teamwork, learning how to collaborate effectively with others to reach shared goals.
At Royal Public, we're dedicated to giving students opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and connect with peers outside the classroom. Our vibrant club system actively fosters critical thinking, creativity, and leadership. To keep things fresh and exciting, club themes and activities evolve every year.
In a unique approach, both students and teachers are shuffled and reassigned to different clubs each year. This ensures new collaborations and broader experiences, creating a truly dynamic learning environment where every year brings exciting opportunities for growth and discovery.
Phoenix Club (English)
We took on the theme 'Page to Life' and explored how literature can come alive through various forms of expression. We analyzed popular books and TV series, comparing them to real-life problems and finding solutions.
Our team worked on enhancing their writing skills. We also had a special dance performance, showcasing the symbolism and qualities of the phoenix.
Through presentations and discussions, we explored how STEM teaching methods can make literature more engaging and interactive, just like in the Harry Potter movies.
